In this musical adaptation of Disney’s 1989 film for young performers, a curious mermaid falls for a handsome human prince and agrees to a dangerous bargain with a powerful sea witch. Admission is $10/children ages 10 and under; $15/seniors & students ages 11 and up; $17/adults.

Doors open at 5:00 pm and delicious food will be served until 7:30 pm. This wonderful fish fry offers dine-in, all you can eat for adults: $13.50; children (ages 6-12): $6.00; and children 5 and under eat free! The menu includes delicious baked and battered cod, breaded shrimp, homemade seafood chowder, and other kid-friendly fare such as macaroni and cheese, pizza, pasta, with a variety of delicious side dishes and desserts. This program is for children from 6 years old and up with a parent or caregiver. Brought to us by The Musical Theatre Project, Dorothy and her beloved friends Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion take children and adults on a journey using multigenerational activities to help them understand friendship, the power of dreams, overcoming difficulties, and the wonder of love and a sense of belonging while singing and dancing along to songs like “Follow The Yellow Brick Road,” “Over The Rainbow,” and “For Good” from Wicked. Ever wonder how pure maple syrup is produced? Discover how through hands-on demonstrations and crafts as you tap into the fun of Maple Sugaring Weekends. The journey begins with a wagon ride into the maple woods and arrives at the Woodland Center. There you can see and take part in the maple sugaring process. Kids learn how to tap a tree with hands-on guidance from Farmpark staff. The whole family gets involved collecting sap contained in collection buckets hung on the maple trees. Move indoors to watch the water-like substance you helped collect boiled and ultimately processed into pure maple syrup and other naturally sweet products.

Farmpark’s very own pure maple syrup and other maple items are available for sale. Maple sugaring-themed activities during Maple Sugaring Weekend include:
• Learn how to make maple syrup in your own backyard
• Make ice cream and taste the results
• Much more!!

The hands-on experiences of Maple Sugaring Weekends are included in the regular Farmpark admission. Admission for ages 12 to 59 is $6; ages 2 to 11 is $4. Ages 60 and over pay $5; Farmpark members and children under 2 get in free.

Celebrate nature at Lake Metroparks’ Penitentiary Glen Nature Center, 8668 Kirtland-Chardon Road, Kirtland, as it salutes the 100th anniversary Burroughs Nature Club. Founded in Willoughby in 1916, it is one of the oldest nature clubs in the county. Lake Metroparks' winter art show invites you to discover the natural and cultural history of the club through a never-before-seen collection of antique hand-colored photographs taken by C.M. Jose Sabal, a drummer for the Kwan Family Lion Dance Team performs with the Lion during the Lion Dance, a traditional celebration of Chinese New Year at Imperial Dragon in Mentor in February 2015. With the Year of the Monkey beginning Feb. 6 in The Chinese Zodiac, look for specials at your favorite Chinese restaurants.
