Post Office Banking on their Communities

As if sending mail and shipping packages wasn't enough, your local post offices may be banking on something new to offer their communities....

In addition to the gift cards and international and domestic money orders the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) already sells, advocates of expanding its financial services say it should offer bill payments, electronic money transfers, savings accounts, automated teller machines, and small personal loans that could provide an economical alternative to payday lenders who charge exorbitant rates.
